Answer the following scenario:

Hector is able to send e-mails via his laptop and cell phone. All other notes and information is kept on his PDA, laptop or cell phone, depending on the nature of the information. Hector finds that his cell phone can send only send a limited amount of information at a time from almost any location, yet he realizes that his transactions need to be completed instantaneously and securely. He can only send large e-mails and attachments with his laptop when in range of a hotspot however.

(a) Compare the limits of using a cell phone to send information to that of a computer using a hotspot. Keep in mind the security implications, as well as the technological limits of each device [4 marks]
(b) Read the circumstance:
Hector has to send a 100 Mb PDF file containing sensitive personal information, and he has the option of using and unsecured wireless internet in a busy downtown area, or using his cell phone, which he realizes will take a while to send and thus keeping him out of effective contact for some time.
Evaluate the security issues involved in sending this information in this situation. [8 marks]
